  2. 2. The role of implementation science in healthcare improvement efforts : investigating three complex interventions

    Författare :Anna Westerlund; Monica Nyström; Anneli Ivarsson; Rickard Garvare; Eva Eurenius; Johan Thor; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; healthcare improvement; knowledge-practice gap; implementation science; complex interventions; implementation strategy; change facilitation; case studies; folkhälsa; Public health; hälso- och sjukvårdsforskning; health services research;

    Sammanfattning : For decades, scholars have found significant gaps between the knowledge available and the knowledge applied in healthcare. Many potential benefits of adequate knowledge based interventions are therefore never achieved. A considerable body of knowledge has evolved on how to promote a better uptake of evidence-based knowledge into routine use. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis we have performed core-electron spectroscopy studies of gas phase molecular systems starting with smaller diatomic, continuing with triatomic and extending our research to more complex polyatomic ones. We can subdivide the results presented here into two categories: the first one focusing on electronic fine structure and effect of the chemical bonds on molecular core-levels and the other one dealing with nuclear dynamics induced by creation of a core hole. 4. 4. Structural Insights at Sub-Ångstrom, Medium and Low Resolution: Crystallization of Trypsin, Bacterioferritin, Photosynthetic Reaction Center, and Photosynthetic Core Complex

    Författare :Weixiao Yuan Wahlgren; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; protein crystallization; cubic phase; sponge phase; bicelle; trypsin; bacterioferritin; reaction center; core complex; photosynthesis;

    Sammanfattning : The catalytic action of serine proteases depends on the interplay of a nucleophile, a general base and a general acid. The catalytic triad is composed of serine, histidine and aspartate residues. The serine acts as a nucleophile while the histidine plays a dual role as the general base or acid at different steps of the reaction. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Form and function of complex networks

    Författare :Petter Holme; Beom Jun Kim; Mark Newman; Umeå universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Networks are all around us, all the time. From the biochemistry of our cells to the web of friendships across the planet. From the circuitry of modern electronics to chains of historical events. A network is the result of the forces that shaped it. LÄS MER
