1. Modelling Allelic and DNA Copy Number Variations using Continuous-index Hidden Markov Models
Sammanfattning : In human cells there are usually two copies of each chromosome, but in cancer cells abnormalities could exist. The differences consist of segments of chromosomes with an altered number of copies. There can be deletions as well as amplifications and the lengths of the segments can also vary. LÄS MER
2. Copy Number Analysis of Cancer
Sammanfattning : By accurately describing cancer genomes, we may link genomic mutations to phenotypic effects and eventually treat cancer patients based on the molecular cause of their disease, rather than generalizing treatment based on cell morphology or tissue of origin.Alteration of DNA copy number is a driving mutational process in the formation and progression of cancer. 3. Raphael's Madonna of the Goldfinch, Copies and the Abbey of Vallombrosa Reconsidered, appendix: 1867-70, the Vallombrosa Arguments in Letters and Publications
Sammanfattning : An investigation concerning a group of paintings sharing a common motif. The motif is the Madonna with the infants Jesus and Saint John, the Infant Jesus holding a goldfinch. Rapahel's version of the painting, in the Uffizi, is discussed in relation to a similar version of the motif that appeared in Sweden in the 1990's.. LÄS MER
4. Konst med konst som motiv : parafrasens estetik i 1900-talets bildkonst
Sammanfattning : The subject of the thesis is 20th-century art about art. The intentions of the artist, the reference given in the work, and the reaction of the perceiver are all important factors in the definition of a paraphrase of art.A paraphrase is made by an artist with the intention of clearly alluding to earlier art. 5. Molecular mechanism of plasmid copy number control in Yersinia
Sammanfattning : The ability of pathogenic bacteria to cause disease depends on various virulence mechanisms. The three pathogenic species of Yersinia use a type III secretion system (T3SS) to translocate effector proteins into host cells and disrupt the immune system. This T3SS is encoded on a 70kb, low-copy, virulence plasmid. LÄS MER
