  1. 1. Collaborative Visualization : Designing and evaluating systems for co-located work

    Författare :Lars Winkler Pettersson; Stefan Seipel; Anders Jansson; Oliver Bimber; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Visualization; Human-Computer Interaction; Collaboration; Co-located Visualization; Computer Supported Cooperative Work;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates new ways of using information visualization to support collaboration in co-located work. To study this phenomenon, Multiple Viewer Display Environments (MVDEs) with independent views have been applied to present information such that all viewers at the same time and in the same display can see correct views of 3D models, see correctly oriented text and see different parts and aspects of information in each view. 2. 2. User-Centered Collaborative Visualization

    Författare :Daniel Cernea; Andreas Kerren; Achim Ebert; Helen C. Purchase; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; collaborative information visualization; computer-supported cooperative work CSCW ; user-centered design; emotion visualization; affective user interface; tabletop; touch surfaces; nestable tangibles; subjective evaluation; Informations- och programvisualisering; Information and software visualization; Computer Science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The last couple of years have marked the entire field of information technology with the introduction of a new global resource, called data. Certainly, one can argue that large amounts of information and highly interconnected and complex datasets were available since the dawn of the computer and even centuries before. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Guided Interaction and Collaborative Exploration in Heterogeneous Network Visualizations

    Författare :Björn Zimmer; Andreas Kerren; Hans-Jörg Schulz; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Information Visualization; Multivariate Networks; Visual Analytics; Exploration; Interaction; Collaboration; Provenance; Guidance; Informations- och programvisualisering; Information and software visualization;

    Sammanfattning : The visual exploration of large and complex network structures remains a challenge for many application fields, such as systems biology or social sciences. Often, various domain experts would like to work together to improve the analysis time or the quality of the analysis results. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Consistency management in collaborative modelling and simulation

    Författare :Jenny Ulriksson; Rassual Ayani; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; CSCW; collaboration; HLA; distributed simulation; consistency management; CSCW services; modelling and simulation; Computer and systems science; Data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to exploit the technological capabilities of computer supported collaborative work (CSCW) in the field of collaborative Modelling and Simulation (M&S). The thesis focuses on addressing two main problems: (i) providing flexible means of consistency management in collaborative M&S, and (ii) the ability of providing platform and application independent services for collaborative M&S. 5. 5. Developing a collaborative planning tool for construction - A Building Information Model-enhanced planning and scheduling tool for production

    Författare :Mikael Viklund Tallgren; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Collaborative planning process; BIM; Construction Informatics; Information Technology in construction; Design Science;

    Sammanfattning : Construction projects are becoming increasingly complex with a higher degree of specialization, resulting in more sub-contractors as well as in more information needed in the project. This results in a bigger project organization with an increased need for information exchange, an area where construction has been criticized by academics. LÄS MER
