    Sammanfattning : About ten yearly cases of liver abscess are presented in University Hospital, León, Nicaragua. Based on serology most of them have been shown to be amoebiasis cases. This raised the question of Entameoba histolytica prevalence in the population. Based on microscopy of stool specimens and serology, about 20% prevalence was found. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : In contrast to classical Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), partial and run-time reconfigurable (RTR) FPGAs can selectively reconfigure partitions of its hardware almost immediately while it is still powered and operative.     Sammanfattning : The work described in this thesis is focused on exploring the efficacy of asymmetric iridium catalysis in the hydrogenation of challenging substrates, including precursors to chiral sulfones and chiral cyclohexanes. Furthermore, iridium catalysis was used to isomerise allylic alcohols to aldehydes, and in a formal total synthesis of Aliskiren (a renin inhibitor). LÄS MER
