Sammanfattning : The overall aim of the thesis is to study work injuries insurance as an individual insurance scheme and as part of the Swedish welfare state. Here, the question of work injuries insurance is studied at two levels, partly the political discourse within which the laws that regulate compensation for work injuries have been drawn up and partly the administrative discourse whitin which this legislation is applied. 4. The State as Investment Market : An Analytical Framework for Interpreting Politics and Bureaucracy in Kyrgyzstan
Sammanfattning : What type of state has emerged in post-Soviet Kyrgyzstan, and what kind of theoretical framework must we develop to understand its behavior and performance? This study argues that the logic of political and bureaucratic organization follows that of an investment market in which public offices are purchased with the expectation of yielding a favorable return. This theory represents a novel perspective on the post-communist state which has hitherto either been premised on modernization theory or emphasized a robustly personalistic logic of political organization. 5. Striderna i Rosenbad : Om trettio års försök att förändra Regeringskansliet
Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines the last thirty years of internal reforms in the Swedish Government Offices. Analysis of the evolution of personnel politics, the formation of one agency and the attempts to introduce a collective activity planning model, show that the immediate problems of the early 1970’s – an over dimensioned staff, territory battles and unclear division of responsibility for personnel and organisation – remains to this day, notwithstanding the many reforms to approach them.
