16. Mass transfer and slag-metal reaction in ladle refining : a CFD approach
Sammanfattning : In order to optimise the ladle treatment mass transfer modelling of aluminium addition and homogenisation time was carried out. It was stressed that incorporating slag-metal reactions into the mass transfer modelling strongly would enhance the reliability and amount of information to be analyzed from the CFD calculations. 17. Experimental Studies of Neutron Emission Induced by Heavy-Ion Scattering
Sammanfattning : A beam of 250A MeV 17O ions was scattered from argon and xenon targets. The large excess of fast neutrons compared with statistical model calculations that was observed earlier for xenon, was confirmed and found for argon as well. LÄS MER
18. Studies of Molecular and Cluster Fragmentation Using Synchrotron Radiation: Measurements and Models
Sammanfattning : A new spectrometer for studying photoinduced fragmentation has been designed and commissioned. The instrument produces a detailed view of the energy and angular emission of fragments, which in the case of small molecules can be related to their geometry at the moment of dissociation. LÄS MER
19. Gas-filled, flat plate solar collectors
Sammanfattning : This work treats the thermal and mechanical performances of gas-filled, flat plate solar collectors in order to achieve a better performance than that of air filled collectors. The gases examined are argon, krypton and xenon which all have lower thermal conductivity than air. The absorber is formed as a tray connected to the glass. LÄS MER
20. Gas-filled, flat plate solar collectors
