  1. 1. Isocyanates and Amines – Sampling and Analytical Procedures

    Författare :Åsa Marand; Gunnar Skarping; Marianne Dalene; Daniel Karlsson; Roy Rando; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Isocyanates; Amines; Polyurethane; Air sampling; Industrial hygiene; Mass spectrometry; Liquid chromatography; Chemiluminescence; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis covers sampling and analytical procedures for isocyanates (R-NCO) and amines (R-NH2), two kinds of chemicals frequently used in association with the polymeric material polyurethane (PUR). Exposure to isocyanates may result in respiratory disorders and dermal sensitisation, and they are one of the main causes of occupational asthma. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Multivariate spectroscopic methods for the analysis of solutions

    Författare :Kent Wiberg; Sven Jacobsson; Lars Nørgaard; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemometrics; UV-Vis spectroscopy; Multivariate calibration; Lidocaine; Identity; Content; PLS; SIMCA; Non-column; Diode array UV spectroscopy; DAD; Control sample; High Capacity Analysis HCA ; Fluorescence spectroscopy; Albumin; Immunoglobulin G; HPLC-DAD; Prilocaine; Peak purity determination; PCA; PARAFAC; Partial separation; Curve resolution; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis some multivariate spectroscopic methods for the analysis of solutions are proposed. Spectroscopy and multivariate data analysis form a powerful combination for obtaining both quantitative and qualitative information and it is shown how spectroscopic techniques in combination with chemometric data evaluation can be used to obtain rapid, simple and efficient analytical methods. Författare :Jakob Dahlin; Gunnar Skarping; Robert P. Streicher; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; isocyanate; amine; aminoisocyanate; organic acid anhydride; denuder; impactor; impinger; air sampling; LC-MS; LC-CLND; di-n-butylamine; DBA; thermal degradation; aerosol; particles; TDI; MDI; HDI; ICA; MIC; IPDI; exposure; occupational health; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents methods for air sampling and determination of isocyanates, amines, aminoisocyanates and anhydrides. These organic compounds are generated during thermal degradation of polymers such as polyurethane (PUR) or epoxy.Isocyanates, amines and anhydrides are airway irritants known to cause occupational asthma. 4. 4. Analytical vortex solutions to Navier-Stokes equation

    Författare :Henrik Tryggeson; Mats Lyberg; Maarten Brons; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; conical vortex; Navier-Stokes equation; analytical solution; 2-D vortices; turbulence; vortex ring; stretched vortex; coherent structures; Fluid mechanics; Strömningsmekanik;

    Sammanfattning : Fluid dynamics considers the physics of liquids and gases. This is a branch of classical physics and is totally based on Newton's laws of motion. Nevertheless, the equation of fluid motion, Navier-Stokes equation, becomes very complicated to solve even for very simple configurations. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Development and Application of Enzyme- and Antibody-based Assays with Emphasis on Selectivity, Sensitivity and Stability

    Författare :Catalin Nistor; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
