    Sammanfattning : Föreliggande avhandling syftar till att utveckla läsningen och tolkningen av inskrifterna på de i dagsläget 46 kända vikingatida runblecken. Målet är att ge en så tydlig bild som möjligt av inskriftsgenren vikingatida runbleck. I detta syfte har upprepade fältundersökningar av runblecken genomförts med stereomikroskop. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The present study deals with different aspects of the mitsvat mezuzah in Rabbinic literature from the first to the sixteenth centuries, with some emphasis on the medieval sources. Through a charting of statements regarding the mezuzah as an object, and the mitsvat mezuzah and its fulfilment, an overview is given of the development of the mezuzah and the perception of it. Even though shields occur frequently in various archaeological and written sources, the function and meaning of shields have been sparsely researched and they have mainly been considered relevant as part of the warrior’s equipment.     Sammanfattning : Medical practices in Eastern Turkestan consisted of a number of components that are not easily identifiable, constituting a highly pluralistic medical field defined by several overlapping traditions, of which Graeco-Islamic medicine played one part while the others, including Western medicine, also played important and/or complementary roles. It can be defined as a diverse but still coherent medical tradition closely related to that of adjacent societies, especially Turkic and Muslim, but also shaped by its own specific historical and cultural context.
