1. Optimal Coordination of Flexible Manufacturing Systems, with Automatic Generation of Collision- and Dealock-Free Working Schedule
Sammanfattning : The ever more rapidly changing markets pose high demands on the modern industry, often making it necessary to have varied and frequently updated product portfolios. As a consequence, modern industrial systems need to be easily adaptable to different kinds of products, which makes the use of flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) increasingly popular. LÄS MER
2. Optimization of Manufacturing Cells Using Discrete Event Models
Sammanfattning : As the name suggests, this thesis is concerned with flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) and their way of living. More specifically, the main objective of this workis to generate working schedules for the moving objects of the manufacturing cells. LÄS MER
3. Plasma environment of an intermediately active comet : Evolution and dynamics observed by ESA's Rosetta spacecraft at 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko
Sammanfattning : The subject of this thesis is the evolution and dynamics of the plasma environment of a moderately active comet before, during and after its closest approach to the Sun. For over 2 years in 2014-2016, the European Space Agency’s Rosetta spacecraft followed the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko at distances typically between a few tens and a few hundred kilometers from the nucleus, the longest and closest inspection of a comet ever made. 4. Mathematical Modelling and Methods for Load Balancing and Coordination of Multi-Robot Stations
Sammanfattning : The automotive industry is moving from mass production towards an individualized production, individualizing parts aims to improve product quality and to reduce costs and material waste. This thesis concerns aspects of load balancing and coordination of multi-robot stations in the automotive manufacturing industry, considering efficient algorithms required by an individualized production. 5. Mathematical Modelling for Load Balancing and Minimization of Coordination Losses in Multirobot Stations
Sammanfattning : The automotive industry is moving from mass production towards an individualized production, in order to improve product quality and reduce costs and material waste. This thesis concerns aspects of load balancing of industrial robots in the automotive manufacturing industry, considering efficient algorithms required by an individualized production. LÄS MER
