  1. 1. Relational textiles : surface expressions in space design

    Författare :Delia Dumitrescu; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Smart textiles; Textiles and Fashion General ; Textil och mode generell ;

    Sammanfattning : The emergence of the Smart Textiles field opens possibilities for designers to combine traditional surface fabrication techniques with advanced technology in the design process. The purpose of this work is to develop knowledge on interactive knitted textiles as materials for architecture and to do so through practice-based design research. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims at characterizing tridimensional (3D) printed polymers onto PET textile materials via fused deposition modeling (FDM) that uses both non-conductive and conductive polymers, optimizing their mechanical and electrical properties through statistical modeling and enhancing them with pre and post-treatments and the development of polymer blends. This research work supports the development of technical textiles through 3D printing that may have functionalities. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Customisation of Fashion Products Using Complete Garment Technology

    Författare :Joel Peterson; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :flat knitting technology; knitting technology; mass customisation; mass customization; complete garment; whole garment; fashion logistics; co-design; supply chain management; Textile technology; Textiles and Fashion General ; Textil och mode generell ;

    Sammanfattning : Complete garment knitting technology is a method of producing knitted products, generally fashion garments, ready-made directly in the knitting machine without additional operations such as cutting and sewing. This makes it possible to manufacture a knitted fashion garment with fewer processes then with conventional production methods. LÄS MER
