    Sammanfattning : As television viewers we are used to watching television as a flow of programs with varying content, and usually do not think about how the programs are created. Who decides what should be produced and what the programs should contain? What role do the TV producers play? Who are the producers? Have their working conditions changed due to changes in society?The aim of this study was to answer questions about the TV producer’s background and career, and about how ideas for TV productions developed into actual TV programs.     Sammanfattning : Using Conversation Analysis and Critical Discourse Analysis, this study describe and analyze recurrent discursive patterns and strategies in Swedish TV-debate programs (consisting of both official representatives and representatives of the general public).     Sammanfattning : Abstract: During the past decade, media researchers have intensified the study of media scandals and the role of journalism as an institution that holds social actors responsible for malfeasance and wrongdoings.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines a commercial media culture as articulated by a television production company in Stockholm, Sweden, and is based on nine months of extended fieldwork.
