    Sammanfattning : A number of different thiols and disulfides self-assembled on polycrystalline gold surfaceshave been studied using mainly AlKα-excited X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), but also Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Ellipsometry, Contact Angles (CA), Voltammetry and Temperature Programmed Desorption (TPD).Evidence is presented in this thesis that the presence of disulfides in long chain thiolatefilms reported earlier is due to radiation damage from the X-rays used in the X-rayspectroscopies.     Sammanfattning : Dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) is the combination of a kinetic resolution with an in situ racemization and is a powerful method for obtaining optically active compounds. In this thesis various secondary alcohols are transformed to their corresponding enantiomerically enriched acetates by employing immobilized lipases as resolution catalysts and transition metal complexes as racemization catalysts.     Sammanfattning : Background. High numbers of incidents of abuse in health care (AHC) have been reported by patients in Sweden. In questionnaire studies (n=9600), every fifth Swedish woman and every tenth Swedish man reported any lifetime experience of AHC, and a majority reported suffering from their experiences. LÄS MER
