    Sammanfattning : The main aim of my dissertation is to investigate som conceptions, power relations, and practices in the discourse of youth problems. I have studied some of the actors that are involved in the social constructing of the "juvenile delinquent" such as the police, the judical system, the social service, the media, the general public and last but not least, the young people themselves.     Sammanfattning : This study investigates how representations of genes and genetics have given rise to new kinds of cultural imageries created and reflected in popular science media. The concept of popular/science is used here in order to circumvent the traditional diffusion model of science communication, and to focus instead on how popular science media taps into scientific discourse just as scientific representations draw on popular imagery.
