    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; LC; liquid chromatography; biological samples; SPE; solid phase extraction; validation; antimalarial drugs; amodiaquine; piperaquine; atovaquone; dried blood spots; Analytisk kemi; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the development of analytical methods for the determination of new antimalarial drugs in biological fluids. The goal was to develop methods that facilitate clinical studies performed in the field, such as capillary blood sampling onto sampling paper. LÄS MER

  2. 2. New methods for determination of airborne pollutants : Focus on tetrabromobisphenol A, organophosphate triesters and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons

    Författare :Johanna Tollbäck; Ulrika Nilsson; Peter Haglund; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Air sampling; sampling methods; indoor air; SPE; SPME; extraction; dynamic extraction; online coupling; SWE; subcritical water extraction; GC MS; LC MS; organophosphate triesters; PAH; tetrabromobisphenol A; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis concerns the development and evaluation of new methods of sampling and analysis of organic pollutants in the indoor and outdoor environment. In Paper I, the development of a new method was reported for the determination of the brominated flame retardant tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) in air using sampling with glass fiber filter and polyurethane foam (PUF), ultrasonic solvent extraction and liquid chromatography coupled to electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry (LC-ESI/MS). 3. 3. Novel Solid Phase Extraction and Mass Spectrometry Approaches to Multicomponent Analyses in Complex Matrices

    Författare :Nahid Amini; Gunnar Thorsén; Tuulia Hyötyläinen; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Sample preparation; SPE; RAM; GCB µ-trap; GCB disk; High temperature LC; LC MS; ESI; APCI; Matrix effects; LIT-MS; SALDI; Sample screening; Oxidized GCB; Silicon nitride; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Analysis of compounds present in complex matrices is always a challenge, which can be partly overcome by applying various sample preparation techniques prior to detection. Ideally, the extraction techniques should be as selective as possible, to minimize the concentration of interfering substances. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Analysis and human levels of persistent perfluorinated chemicals

    Författare :Anna Kärrman; Gunilla Lindström; Bert van Bavel; Ulf Järnberg; Jessika Hagberg; Lennart Hardell; Derek Muir; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PFOS; PFOA; SPE; LC-MS; human exposure; Chemistry; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : An extensive use of perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) in the last 50 years has resulted in a worldwide spread of these persistent chemicals. Human populations are subjected to a large number of PFCs in ways that are not yet fully explained. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Strategies for Miniaturized Biomarker Detection

    Författare :Belinda Adler; Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik; []
