1. Neuropeptides, 'gaseous' messengers and classic transmitters : electrophysiological and histochemical studies on coexistence and interactions in the nervous system
Sammanfattning : The distribution and functional role of neuropeptides were studied, with special reference to galanin (GAL) and the free radical nitric oxide (NO). In developing systems GAL expression was observed already at E14 in trigeminal and dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons and at E15 in sensory epithelia in ear, eye and nose, as well as at E19 during bone formation. 2. Anti-windup and Control of Systems with Multiple Input Saturations : Tools, Solutions and Case Studies
Sammanfattning : Control of linear systems with saturating actuators are considered and anti-windup compensators for multiple-input multiple-output systems, and robust, almost time-optimal controllers for double integrators with input amplitude saturations, are proposed.Windup effects are defined and anti-windup compensators aiming at minimizing the windup effects are proposed. 3. Power Control in Cellular Radio Systems
Sammanfattning : The primary goal of cellular radio systems, is to provide communication services to a large number of mobile users. Due to the rapid expansion of the market in this area, the available resources have to be used efficiently. LÄS MER
4. Control of Voltage and Damping in Bulk Power Systems
Sammanfattning : Modern power system is a complex dynamical system and one of the largest man-made systems. With recent driving forces like environmental concerns over air emissions, the modern power system is evolving towards an even more complex system. LÄS MER
5. Power System Damping - Structural Aspects of Controlling Active Power
Sammanfattning : Environmental and economical aspects make it difficult to build new power lines and to reinforce existing ones. The continued growth in demand for electric power must therefore to a great extent be met by increased loading of available lines. LÄS MER
