1. Large Eddy Simulations of Separated Compressible Flows around Wing Sections
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns numerical calculations of compressible separated flows, with and without shocks, around wing sections using Large Eddy Simulations (LES). The considered geometries are the NACA 0012 wing section and the ONERA AT15A wing section. LÄS MER
2. Hemodynamic Effects of Lung Function Optimization in Experimental Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
Sammanfattning : Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) is a severe pulmonary inflammation affecting thousands of patients every year in Sweden and has a mortality of 30-50%. Mechanical ventilation (MV) is usually necessary, but could per se augment the inflammation and contribute to mortality. LÄS MER
3. Development of a Multidimensional Residual Distribution Solver for Large Eddy Simulation of Industrial Turbulent Flows
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the results of the author's research activity to develop a time-space accurate flow-solver for Large Eddy Simulations (LES), based on the Multidimensional Residual Distribution approach. The aim of this work is the attempt to develop a compact high-order algorithm which includes multidimensional flow physics, in hope of creating a better algorithm for LES of turbulent compressible flows. 4. Numerical Investigations of Turbulent Flow in Water Turbines
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates turbulent flow in water turbines, focusing onthe flow in the vicinity of reaction water turbine runners such as theKaplan runner and the Francis runner. The method of investigationis principally numerical although some experimental observations andmeasurements made in the present work and elsewhere are included. LÄS MER
5. Investigations intothe crystallization of butyl paraben
Sammanfattning : In thisproject, solubility of butyl paraben in 7 puresolvents and 5 ethanol aqueous solvents has been determined at from 1 ℃to 50 ℃. Thermodynamic properties of butyl paraben have been measured by DifferentialScanning Calorimetey. LÄS MER
