  1. 1. Temporary neonatal exposure to whole and hydrolysed cow's milk proteins. Studies of macromolecular absorption and immunological variables

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Paediatrics, Lund University

    Författare :Pekka O Juvonen; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [1999]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; beta-lactoglobulin; ovalbumin; cow s milk proteins; antibodies; IgG; IgE; secretory IgA; alpha-lactalbumin; breast-feeding; Pediatrics; Pediatri; early infant feeding; casein hydrolysate; Human milk; cow s milk;

    Sammanfattning : Popular Abstract in Swedish Intag av födoämnesantigen resulterar normalt i induktion av oral tolerans, men klinisk och immunologisk betydelse av kortvarig neonatal exponering för komjölksproteiner är inte klarlagt. Syftet med detta arbete var att studera prospektivt effekten av olika uppfödningsregimen under de tre första levnadsdagarna. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Protein-Surfactant Interactions Phase Behaviour and Phase Structure

    Detta är en avhandling från Physical Chemistry 1, Lund University

    Författare :Anna Karin Morén; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [1999]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Phase equilibria; Protein-surfactant interactions; Gel; Precipitate; Solution; Lysozyme; b-lactoglobulin; Ovalbumin; Bovine serum albumin; Dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride; Sodium alkylsulphates; NMR; Cryo-TEM; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Protein-surfactant interactions in water are investigated by following the phase equilibria for protein-surfactant pairs whose constituents carry both opposite and the same sign of charge. The concentration ranges studied are: 0-20 wt% protein, 0-20 wt% surfactant, and 80-100 wt% water. LÄS MER

    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; acetylsalicylic add; confocal microscopy; Crohn s disease; cytoskeleton; electron microscopy; genetics; human; ileum; inflammatory bowel disease; intestinal absorption; intestinal mucosa; macromolecules; mitochondria; ovalbumin; permeability; sodium caprate; tight junctions; transcytosis; uncoupling agents; Ussing chamber; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : The study aimed at investigating the intestinal barrier in Crohn's disease, with special reference to epithelial responses to luminal stimuli, and to permeation of proteins.Ileal mucosa from patients undergoing intestinal resection was studied in vitro in Ussing chambers. 4. 4. Immunological factors in breast milk in relation to allergy in mother and child

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköpings universitet

    Författare :Malin Fagerås-Böttcher; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2002]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : Background: The allergy preventive effect of breast-feeding against the development of allergy is controversial and some of this controversy may be due to differences in the composition of breast milk between different mothers.Aim: To analyse IgA, cytokine and chemokines levels in human milk and relate the findings to matemal allergy and to development of atopic disease and IgA production in the infants, and furthermore, to assess the effects of breast milk on CBMC cytokine production. 5. 5. Development of IgG subclass antibodies to allergens in early childhood

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköpings universitet

    Författare :Maria C. Jenmalm; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [1999]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Immune responses to allergens in young children include both Thl and Th2 like immunity, which may regulate the secretion of IgG subclass antibodies differently. The time, route and level of exposure to an allergen, as well as maternally transferred immunity, may be decisive whether sensitisation or tolerance will ensue. LÄS MER
