   Sammanfattning : Pneumothorax is the term used for all conditions where air is present in the pleural cavity outside the confinement of the lung. Active treatment of pneumothorax often consists of the introduction of a pleural drain and the application of a continuous vacuum to keep the collapsing lung expanded until the lesion has healed.
