   Sammanfattning : From the radiographic archives at the Malmö University Hospital, Malmö, Sweden, we identified children below age 16 years (n=74) and adolescents between 16 to 18 years (n=40) with a clinically and radiographically diagnosed thoracic or lumbar vertebral fracture between 1950 to 1971 (with exception of two years of missing radiographs), and all adults above age 18 years (n=39) with a non-operatively treated thoracic or lumbar burst fracture during the years 1965 to 1973.    Sammanfattning : Sixty patients (16-30 years) with traumatic primary anterior shoulder dislocation were allocated to arthroscopic lavage or non-operative treatment. The arthroscopic lavage group had a lower recurrence rate, better functional outcome and anterior stability after one year. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : Aim: The aim of this comprehensive study was to evaluate whether anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injured patients choosing non-operative treatment differ from those choosing ACL reconstruction regarding age, gender, personality, activity level prior to injury, anterior-posterior knee joint laxity and outcome as evaluated using the Knee Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) five weeks following the ACL injury. Furthermore the reasons for choosing reconstruction were studied to determine whether patients who choose reconstructive surgery early do so for the same reasons as patients who choose reconstruction later.
