  1. 1. A Possible World: Autism from Practice to Theory

    Författare :Petra Zücker Björne; Kognitionsvetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Psychopedagogy; Utvecklingspsykologi; Development psychology; Psykologi; Psychology; pedagogical intervention; categorization; context; sensorimotor disturbances; autism; developmental theory; Pedagogisk psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Persons with autism develop along trajectories that differ from the typical. Therefore, development itself gives important clues for understanding the behavioral profile characteristic of autism. Developing autism means being different, not necessarily being deficient. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Cognitive Interactive Robot Learning

    Författare :Benjamin Fonooni; Hellström Thomas; Lars Erik Janlert; Christian Balkenius; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Learning from Demonstration; Imitation Learning; Human Robot Interaction; High-Level Behavior Learning; Shared Control; Cognitive Architectures; Cognitive Robotics; Priming; business data processing; administrativ databehandling;

    Sammanfattning : Building general purpose autonomous robots that suit a wide range of user-specified applications, requires a leap from today's task-specific machines to more flexible and general ones. To achieve this goal, one should move from traditional preprogrammed robots to learning robots that easily can acquire new skills. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Imaging imagining actions

    Författare :CJ Olsson; Lars Nyberg; A.Mark Williams; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; mental training; motor training; novices; imaging; athletes; fMRI; internal imagery; motor representation; brain systems; practice; learning; transfer; active; Physiology; Fysiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Mental training has been studied extensively for the past century but we are still not completely sure how it affects brain and behavior. The aim of this doctoral thesis was to examine one aspect of mental training i.e. motor imagery. LÄS MER

  4. 4. On the Utility of Representation Learning Algorithms for Myoelectric Interfacing

    Författare :Alexander Olsson; Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; EMG; Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Feature Learning; Biosignal Processing; Gesture Recognition; Muscle-Computer Interfaces; Myoelectric Control; Upper-Limb Prosthetics;

    Sammanfattning : Electrical activity produced by muscles during voluntary movement is a reflection of the firing patterns of relevant motor neurons and, by extension, the latent motor intent driving the movement. Once transduced via electromyography (EMG) and converted into digital form, this activity can be processed to provide an estimate of the original motor intent and is as such a feasible basis for non-invasive efferent neural interfacing. 5. 5. Feedback control of cerebellar learning

    Författare :Anders Rasmussen; Associativ inlärning; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Motor learning; Rescorla-Wagner; Anticipation; In vivo Electrophysiology; Purkinje cells; Nucleo-Olivary inhibition; Inferior Olive; Classical Conditioning; Eyeblink Conditioning; Feedback;

    Sammanfattning : The ability to anticipate future events and to modify erroneous anticipatory actions is crucial for the survival of any organism. Both theoretical and empirical lines of evidence implicate the cerebellum in this ability. It is often suggested that the cerebellum acquires “expectations” or “internal models”. LÄS MER
