  1. 1. Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Heart Image quality, measurement accuracy and patient experience

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Författare :Britt-Marie Ahlander; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2016]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Non-invasive diagnostic imaging of atherosclerotic coronary artery disease (CAD) is frequently carried out with cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) or myocardial perfusion single photon emission computed tomography (MPS). CMR is the gold standard for the evaluation of scar after myocardial infarction and MPS the clinical gold standard for ischemia. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Imaging the pancreas new aspects on lobular development and adult constitution

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå universitet

    Författare :Andreas Hörnblad; Umeå universitet.; [2011]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Type 1 diabetes; ß-cell mass; tertiary lymphoid organs; biomedical imaging; optical projection tomography; morphogenesis; pancreas development; gastric lobe; spleen development.; medicinsk genetik; Medical Genetics; medicinsk utvecklings- och neurobiologi; Developmental Neurosciences; molekylär medicin genetik och patologi ; Molecular Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : The mouse pancreas is a mixed exocrine and endocrine glandconsisting of three lobular compartments: the splenic, duodenal and gastric lobes. During embryogenesis, the pancreas forms from two progenitor populations located on the dorsal and ventral side of the primitive gut tube. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Quality assurance for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in radiotherapy

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Department of radiation sciences, Umeå university

    Författare :Mary Adjeiwaah; Umeå universitet.; [2017]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Magnetic resonance imaging; Radiotherapy; geometric distortions; patient-induced susceptibilities MR-only; radiofysik; radiofysik;

    Sammanfattning : Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizes the magnetic properties of tissues to generate image-forming signals. MRI has exquisite soft-tissue contrast and since tumors are mainly soft-tissues, it offers improved delineation of the target volume and nearby organs at risk. LÄS MER

  4. 4. On the use of computed tomography in cardiac imaging

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Sammanfattning : BackgroundCardiac Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA) is becoming increasingly useful in the work‐up of coronary artery disease (CAD). Several potential methods for increasing the diagnostic yield of cardiac CT are available. LÄS MER

  5. 5. A Segmented Silicon Strip Detector for Photon-Counting Spectral Computed Tomography

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Författare :Cheng Xu; KTH.; [2012]

    Sammanfattning : Spectral computed tomography with energy-resolving detectors has a potential to improve the detectability of images and correspondingly reduce the radiation dose to patients by extracting and properly using the energy information in the broad x-ray spectrum. A silicon photon-counting detector has been developed for spectral CT and it has successfully solved the problem of high photon flux in clinical CT applications by adopting the segmented detector structure and operating the detector in edge-on geometry.
