  1. 1. Process Maturity : A Component of Process Management

    Författare :Gunnar Dahlin; Raine Isaksson; Rickard Garvare; Pernilla Ingelsson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Kvalitetsteknik; Quality Technology and Management;

    Sammanfattning : To be able to meet an increased competition through for instance globalization, and shorter product lifecycles, focus on performance control is central for organizations, where for instance processes and stakeholder orientation are central when continuously improving the operation of the organization.The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the knowledge of how process maturity can be linked to process management. 2. 2. On the utilisation of information technology for the management of profitable maintenance

    Författare :Mirka Kans; Basim Al-Najjar; Benoît Iung; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Maintenance decisions; computerised maintenance management; common database; maintenance profitability; maintenance data; information technology systems; decision support systems; information technology maturity; Industrial engineering and economy; Industriell teknik och ekonomi; Terotechnology; Systemekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Maintenance is one area of business that recently has been considered as an activity contributing efficiently to the companies' strategic goals. Understanding the way maintenance could utilise modern technology such as computerised tools or digital data processing is one way to make maintenance profitable. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Towards sustainability of environmental protection : recovery of nutrients from wastewater filtration and the washing of arsenic contaminated soils

    Författare :Lea Rastas Amofah; Helen French; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Conventional methods for wastewater treatment and remediation of the sites withcontaminated soils focus on protection of human health, receiving waters and theenvironment. Towards this end, these methods concentrate on the reduction or removal of polluting substances, and therefore, are not well suited for creating resources through the recovery of nutrients, energy and decontaminated soils. 4. 4. Bioprocess development for biochemical conversion of lignocellulose

    Författare :Ruifei Wang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Lignocellulose; strain engineering; stress tolerance; kinetic modelling; high gravity; scale-up; biofuels; SSCF; process development; Saccharomyces cerevisiae;

    Sammanfattning : Due to its low environmental impact and high maturity of the fuel ethanol market, lignocellulosic ethanol is a promising option for reducing the carbon footprint in the transport sector. The characteristics of lignocellulosic feedstocks, such as varied sugar composition, low sugar density, low solubility, recalcitrance to enzymatic degradation, and inhibitors formed during thermochemical pretreatment, have so far limited the production process, and costs for conversion of lignocellulosic materials to ethanol are still high. 5. 5. A Framework for Securing e-Government Services : The Case of Tanzania

    Författare :Geoffrey Rwezaura Karokola; Louise Yngström; Mariki Eloff; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; e-Government; information security; maturity models; services; technical security; non-technical security; data- och systemvetenskap; Computer and Systems Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : e-Government services are becoming one of the most important and efficient means by which governments (G) interact with businesses (B) and citizens (C). This has brought not only tremendous opportunities but also serious security challenges. Critical information assets are exposed to current and emerging security risks and threats. LÄS MER
