    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents results of studies on the ice flow pattern and ice movement mechanism during the Weichselian glaciations in the middle Notec River area, NW Poland. A new lithostratigraphy of the study area has been established, based on correlation of stratigraphical position, clast lithology, fabrics and grain size composition of till units. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents results from studies on geomorphology, lithostratigraphy and ice flow patterns during the final termination and deglaciation of the last Scandinavian Ice Sheet in NE Germany. Ice flow patterns derived from till fabrics and glaciotectonical data indicate that short-lived marginal domes had formed during the advance and the retreat of the last Scandinavian Ice Sheet in NE Germany.     Sammanfattning : Technological and societal developments in the past century have greatly increased our society’s demand for metals, many which occur in polymetallic ores mined in the Skellefte district, northern Sweden. Near-surface deposits are becoming depleted and as such targeting of deep deposits is needed, which places special demand on effective management, processing and interpretation of geological data obtained from exploration drill holes.
