  1. 1. Knowledge Dissemination in Multinational Corporations

    Författare :Dan Paulin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; obstacles; knowledge sharing; influencing factors; inhibitors; knowledge transfer; MNCs; product realization; facilitators; Knowledge dissemination;

    Sammanfattning : Today’s globalization trend in industry is of major importance for world economy. One effect of the globalization trend is that international companies are exposed to a broadened knowledge base. A major competitive advantage for a multinational corporation (MNC) is its ability to utilize knowledge that is situated at the different locations. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Graphic Representation and Visualisation as Modelling Support for the Knowledge Acquisition Process

    Författare :Anne Håkansson; Andreas Hamfelt; Harald Kjellin; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Datavetenskap; Artficial Intelligence; Knowledge-Based Systems; Knowledge Acquisition; Graphic Representation; Visualisation; Unified Modelling Language; Modelling Rule-based Systems; Visual programming; Declarative Programming; Information Networks; User-Centered Design; Knowledge Interface; Datavetenskap; Computer science; Datavetenskap; datalogi; Computer Science;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis describes steps taken towards using graphic representation and visual modelling support for the knowledge acquisition process in knowledge-based systems – a process commonly regarded as difficult. The performance of the systems depends on the quality of the embedded knowledge, which makes the knowledge acquisition phase particularly significant. LÄS MER

  3. 3. L'analyse de la description en conversation : Pour une interface textuelle-conversationnelle

    Författare :Nina Bengtsson; Franska; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; description; describing; text linguistics; conversational analysis; interface; prototype; theme; affiliation; alignment; preface; exit device;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation addresses the topic of descriptions in conversation: a relatively unexplored area of investigation apart from a small number of studies within the field of conversation analysis (Mondada 1998, 1999). However, whereas previous studies focus on the description as a social activity, enhancing the conversational facet, the present work has as a premise to put emphasis on the description as a textual phenomenon developed by the speakers without neglecting the conversational context. 4. 4. Relating the Bulk and Interface Structure of Hyaluronan to Physical Properties of Future Biomaterials

    Författare :Ida Berts; Jöns Hilborn; Adrian R Rennie; Giovanna Fragneto; John W White; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; hyaluronan; structure; bulk; interface; small-angle neutron scattering; neutron reflection; hydrogel; grafting; nanoparticles; protein interactions;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation describes a structural investigation of hyaluronan (HA) with neutron scattering techniques. HA is a natural biopolymer and one of the major components of the extracellular matrix, synovial fluid, and vitreous humor. LÄS MER

  5. 5. An Ontological Approach to support Knowledge Sharing between Product Design and Assembly Process Planning (APP)

    Författare :Baha Hasan; Jan Wikander; Mauro Onori; Jonathan C. Borg; Jos'e Barata; Pär Mårtensson; Monica Bellgran; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; knowledge sharing; Ontology; semantics; assembly knowledge; assembly design and assembly process planning.; Production Engineering; Industriell produktion;

    Sammanfattning : Modern manufacturing organizations have to cope with several critical issues arising from the need for mass customization such as short product life-cycles, an increasing number of product variants and frequently changing customer requirements. One of the main factors that could aid overcoming those challenges is the use of information and communication technology (ICT) applications over a collaborative manufacturing environment, in which all stakeholders share and exchange knowledge across different manufacturing domains and applications.
