    Sammanfattning : Orthostatic hypotension (OH) is believed to be an important cause of cerebral hypoperfusion, leading to chronic fatigue, blurred vision, unsteadiness, dizziness and sometimes syncope. It may also result in episodes of confusion, falls and fractures. The coupling between OH and organic dementia is not clear. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Renal artery stenosis (RAS) causes hypertension, decreased glomerular filteration rate (GFR), and renal ischemia. RAS is progressive and causes 5-16% of all cases of renal failure. Prevalence of RAS in patients with hypertension is 1-5%. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The true prevalence of coeliac disease includes patients with symptomatic/diagnosed disease, and silent or undiagnosed disease.     Sammanfattning : Atherosclerotic plaques in the carotid arteries are common in a middle-aged population. When a carotid plaque ruptures it may result in a cerebrovascular event. However, only a minor part of carotid plaques will eventually rupture. Finding those plaques is essential to decide the most appropriate treatment strategy. LÄS MER
