16. Hybrid printing on fibre-based packaging : Performance, Quality and Market
Sammanfattning : Variable data will play a decisive role in the future of packaging and product promotion. Variable data printing (VDP) is a technique whereby certain information can be altered in an otherwise static layout with the help of a digital printing system, and in the packaging industry a wide range of applications is possible. 17. Strong Light-Matter Interactions and Formation of Hybrid States at the Nanoscale
Sammanfattning : Noble metallic nanoparticles, which support localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPR), offer a variety of potential scientific and industrial utilizations. Due to their remarkable ability to confine light at nanoscale dimensions, far below the optical diffraction limit, plasmonic nanoparticles enable intricate light manipulations, which may be performed and exploited for a wide range of future revolutionary applications. 18. Mesoporous Titania for High Rate Electrochemical Energy Storage
Sammanfattning : Mesoporous titanium oxides are increasingly attracting interest as potential candidates for fast electrochemical energy storage. In this thesis, mesoporous titania of different polymorphs have been evaluated in relation to their ability to reversibly store Li+ ions inside their structure. LÄS MER
19. The Four-Quadrant Transducer System : for Hybrid Electric Vehicles
Sammanfattning : In this thesis a hybrid electrical powertrain called the Four Quadrant Transducer (4QT) has been evaluated through different driving simulations, which later resulted in the manufacture of a prototype. The simulation of a 12 metric ton distribution truck showed that the 4QT system can reduce the fuel consumption by approximately 30 % during the FTP75 drive cycle. LÄS MER
20. Inorganic-Organic Hybrid Technology for Light Emitting Diodes
Sammanfattning : Since the first report of inorganic light emtting diodes a century ago the field of inorganic light emitting diodes has evolved rapidly. T he development of light emitting diodes technology has caused their efficiency and light output to increase exponentially, with a doubling occuring about every 36 months since the 1960s, in a similar way to Moor´s law.
