Sammanfattning : Muscle spindles are skeletal muscle mechanoreceptors that mediate the stretch reflex and provide axial and limb position information to the central nervous system. They have been proposed to play a major role in the pathophysiology of muscle pain. LÄS MER
- Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå University
Sammanfattning : Skeletal muscle satellite cells located between the plasma membrane and the basal lamina of muscle fibres, could for many years, only be studied in situ by electron microscopy. The introduction of immunohistochemistry and the discovery of molecular markers of satellite cells then made them accessible for light microscopic studies and a wealth of information is today available. 3. Extra- and intrafusal muscle fibre type compositions of the human masseter at young age. In perspective of growth and functional maturation of the jaw-face motor systemDetta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå University
Sammanfattning : Muscles control body posture and movement by extrafusal and intrafusal (muscle spindle) fibres. The purpose of this thesis was to provide insight into the muscular basis for human jaw function at young age. LÄS MER
4. The human Achilles tendon innervation and intratendinous production of nerve signal substances - of importance in understanding the processes of Achilles tendinosisDetta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå university
Sammanfattning : Tendinopathies are painful tendon conditions of presumably multifactorial genesis. In tendinosis, as in Achilles tendinosis, there is apart from pain also morphological changes which are described as degenerative with no signs of inflammation. The exact mechanisms behind these conditions are still, to a large extent, unknown. LÄS MER
- Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis
Sammanfattning : Several aspects of Cl- secretion in epithelial cells were investigated. Methods to prepare cultured cellsfor X-ray microanalysis, in order to study volume-regulating chloride transport were evaluated. LÄS MER
