1. Lipoproteomics : mapping of proteins in LDL and HDL
Sammanfattning : High-density lipoprotein (HDL) and (LDL)-density lipoprotein (LDL) are important lipoprotein fractions in human plasma. HDL is the most abundant lipoprotein particle and a negative risk factor of atherosclerosis while LDL is considered to possess atherogenic properties. LÄS MER
2. Lipoproteomics : A New Approach to the Identification and Characterization of Proteins in LDL and HDL
Sammanfattning : A proteomic approach was applied to examine the protein composition of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in humans. LDL and HDL were isolated by density gradient ultracentrifugation, and proteins were separated with twodimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) and identified with peptide mass fingerprinting, using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry, and with amino acid sequencing using electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry. 3. Regulation of innate and acquired immunity in infants by commensal bacteria
Sammanfattning : The incidence of atopic diseases in children is steadily increasing in the industrialised world along with an improved hygienic lifestyle. The gastrointestinal flora may be of specific importance for the proper maturation of the immune system and for the induction of tolerance, in which CD25+ regulatory T cells (Tregs) play a crucial role. 4. Gestaltandets pedagogik : Om att skapa konsthantverk
Sammanfattning : Why, and what does it involve for an individual to perform Arts and Crafts, are the questions studied in this thesis. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the pedagogical conditions of Arts and Crafts objects, through studying the processes that take place where people give form to personal expressions and to understand the meanings these processes have for them. 5. Matematiserande i förskolan : Geometri i multimodal interaktion
Sammanfattning : The aim of the dissertation is to contribute with knowledge about mathematizing in preschools, by empirically and analytically examining mathematizing as accomplished in children’s multimodal interactions with each other and their pedagogues in everyday activities. Theoretically and analytically the dissertation is based on an ethnomethodological and conversation analytic perspective (EM/CA) (e. LÄS MER
