1. Photoelectron Spectroscopy on HCl and DCl : Synchrotron Radiation Based Studies of Dissociation Dynamics
Sammanfattning : Dissociation dynamics of the ionized molecules HCl and the deuterated system DCl has been studied in gas-phase using synchrotron based photoelectron spectroscopy (PES).The inner-valence "(4σ)-1" photoionization band for DCl and HCl was recorded using maximum resolution in order to probe an interference pattern between a dissociative and a bound electronic state. 2. Investigations of Chlorine-Induced High Temperature Corrosion of Steels
Sammanfattning : The high corrosivity of the fireside environment in waste and biomass fired boilers is commonly attributed to the presence of chlorine-containing compounds. Chlorine-induced high temperature corrosion is not well understood, however. LÄS MER
3. Study and Modeling of the Reduction of Sulfur Dioxide, Nitrogen Oxides and Hydrogen Chloride by Dry Injection Technologies
Sammanfattning : The potential and mechanism to reduce acid gases, such as SO2, NOx and HCl by dry Ca-based sorbents have been studied to improve the efficiencies of the process and sorbent utilization. Several natural limestones were tested for SO2 removal. Calcium conversion as high as 45% was achieved within 0.3 s at 1000°C, 1000 ppm SO2 and Ca/S=1. LÄS MER
4. Oxide Formation and Degradation during Erosion-Corrosion of Iron and Nickel Based Alloys
Sammanfattning : Erosion-corrosion is, in many technical applications, a serious material degradation process caused by dynamic particle/fluid mixtures. Pipes transporting particle containing liquids, jet engines, gas turbines, and fluidised bed combustion (FBC) power plants are examples of systems which are considered to be especially susceptible. 5. Role of Melatonin, Neuropeptide S and Short Chain Fatty Acids in Regulation of Duodenal Mucosal Barrier Function and Motility
Sammanfattning : The duodenal epithelium is regularly exposed to HCl, digestive enzymes, bacteria and toxins, and sometimes also to ethanol and drugs. The imbalance of aggressive factors in the intestinal lumen and mucosal barrier function increases the risk of tissue injury and inflammation. LÄS MER
