1. Mesh-Based Immediate Breast Reconstruction. Complicantions and long-term results
Sammanfattning : There are few high-quality studies evaluating use of meshes in implant-based immediate breast reconstruction (IBR). This thesis analyzed current evidence of matrices and compared outcomes from the use of biological or synthetic meshes and traditional muscle-covered implants. LÄS MER
2. Modeling of material behavior in metal forming
Sammanfattning : With an increasing demand to improve efficiency and to cut costs, the industry is constantly seeking to reduce the time and money spent in product development and manufacturing. Use of computer-based simulations has become more or less a standard tool to meet this demand. LÄS MER
3. Simulation of Material Behavior in Metal Forming Processes
Sammanfattning : Constitutive models regarding the behavior of metallic materials during forming processes are formulated and implemented. Mechanisms such as phase transformation, large deformations, plastic dissipation in form of heat and viscoplastic behavior in the material is adressed... LÄS MER
4. Pharmacogenomics of Antihypertensive Treatment & Clinical Pharmacological Studies of Digoxin Treatment
Sammanfattning : In Part I we found that the CYP2C9 genotype appears to influence the diastolic blood pressure response to the angiotensin II-receptor antagonist irbesartan in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. Those with the *1/*2 genotype (slower metabolism) responded better than those with the *1/*1 genotype (normal metabolism), likely due to a slower elimination of the drug. LÄS MER
5. Constitutive modelling of an additively manufactured alloy for fatigue lifing in high temperature applications
Sammanfattning : The main objective of the work presented in this Licentiate thesis is to investigate and model the cyclic behaviour of an additively manufactured ductile nickel-based superalloy, with special emphasis on modelling the stabilised material behaviour, which is of interest for fatigue life predictions. Cyclic fatigue tests at different temperatures have been performed to investigate the cyclic mechanical behaviour of the material, where specimens built in different orientations have been used to also study the anisotropic behaviour of the material.
