    Sammanfattning : Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST) are thought to originate from the interstitial cells of Cajal, which show many properties in common with neurons of the gastrointestinal tract. High-risk GIST has a very poor prognosis and tumour recurrence is common after intentionally curative surgery. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Liquid biopsies are minimally invasive and allow repetitive sampling of body fluids. Analysis of cell-free tumor DNA in liquid biopsies can be used as a biomarker for cancer. However, in most clinically relevant liquid biopsies, cell-free DNA is present at low concentrations, contains minute tumor allele frequencies, and is highly fragmented. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Pancreatic endocrine tumors and gastrointestinal stromal tumors are rare. Evidence regarding prognostic factors, and in the former also treatment, is scarce.
