  1. 1. Cretaceous palynofloras from southern Scandinavia

    Författare :Vivi Vajda; Berggrundsgeologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Paleobotanik; phylogeny; Palaeobotany; Cingutriletes scanicus sp. nov; Palynology; palynofacies; paleovegetation; transgression; Early Cretaceous; Cenomanian; Turonian; Bornholm; Denmark; Sweden; Scania; fylogeni; palynologi; Geology; physical geography; Geologi; fysisk geografi;

    Sammanfattning : A palynological investigation of Cretaceous sequences from Höllviken 2, Svedala 1 and Norrevång 1 wells of Scania, Southern Sweden, and from the Arnager Greensand-Arnager Limestone transition on the island of Bornholm, Denmark, was conducted. Well preserved palynofloras were found in strata consisting of shaly mudstones, glauconitic sandstones (greensand) and limestone. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Early Campanian mosasaurs (Reptilia; Mosasauridae) from the Kristianstad Basin, southern Sweden

    Författare :Johan Lindgren; Berggrundsgeologi; []

    Sammanfattning : Marine strata of latest early Campanian age (sensu germanico) in the Kristianstad Basin, Skåne (Scania), southern Sweden, have yielded a diverse mosasaur fauna comprising six to eight taxa, including Tylosaurus ivoensis, Clidastes propython, Hainosaurus minor n. sp., Halisaurus sternbergii, Platecarpus cf. somenensis, Platecarpus? sp. 3. 3. Conodont biostratigraphy, taxonomy and palaeoecology in the Darriwilian (Middle Ordovician) of Baltoscandia - with focus on meteorite and extraterrestrial chromite-rich strata

    Författare :Johanna Mellgren; Berggrundsgeologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Conodonts; biostratigraphy; taxonomy; palaeoecology; morphometrics; extraterrestrial chromite; meteorites; Darriwilian; Middle Ordovician; Baltoscandia;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with conodont biostratigraphy and palaeoecology in the Darriwilian (Middle Ordovician) of Baltoscandia, with focus on limestone strata showing traces of the ~ 470 Ma L-chondrite parent body break-up. The evidence for this cosmic event includes abundant centimeter to decimeter-sized fossil meteorites and elevated levels of sediment-dispersed extraterrestrial L-type chromite found in a stratigraphical interval corresponding to the uppermost Lenodus antivariabilis, the L. 4. 4. Diversity and phylogeography in Alisma (Alismataceae), with emphasis on Northern European taxa

    Författare :Anders Jacobson; Biologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; morphology; phytogeography; chemotaxonomy. Physiology of nonvascular plants; taxonomy; Systematic botany; Baltic Sea; Europe; refugia; post-glacial migration; phylogeography; marsh plants; genetic variation; aquatic plants; Alisma; Systematisk botanik; taxonomi; morfologi; kemotaxonomi. Växters fysiologi inte kärlväxter .;

    Sammanfattning : In the present thesis the phylogeny and patterns of genetic diversity of the plant genus Alisma (Alismataceae) were investigated by means of genetic markers (RAPDs, allozymes, and ITS and trnL sequences). Additionally, morphological studies were carried out in paper IV. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Phytophthora and Oak Decline - Impact on Seedlings and Mature Trees in Forest Soils

    Författare :Ulrika Jönsson Belyazid; Biologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Växtekologi; Plant ecology; microbial competition; carbon allocation; nutrients; water availability; soil chemistry; mature oaks; seedlings; acid soils; Phytophthora quercina; Quercus robur;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigated the occurrence of soilborne species of the plant pathogenic genus Phytophthora in southern Swedish oak forests and their possible involvement in southern Swedish oak decline. The emphasis was on the impact of P. quercina on Quercus robur in acid forest soils. LÄS MER
