1. Equivalence et saillance dans l'expression de la localisation frontale dynamique en suédois et en français : Etude comparative et contrastive de fram et de (s’)avancer/en avant
Sammanfattning : The present study deals with the expression of frontal orientation in dynamic contexts as lexicalised in the Swedish particle fram and its French equivalents (s')avancer/en avant. The study is based on a parallel corpus containing approximately one millon words of Swedish and one million words of French fiction and it consists of a comparison made on the basis of monolingual and crosslinguistic data. 2. Towards the Rational Design of Molecularly Imprinted Polymers
Sammanfattning : Molecular imprinting is a technique by which polymeric materials selective for a given target molecule can be created through a casting procedure. Functionalised monomers are added to a solution of molecular templates. LÄS MER
3. Thoracic injuries in frontal car crashes: risk assessment using a finite element human body model
Sammanfattning : Accident data show that there is a clear need to improve the protection to occupants’ thorax in frontal car crashes. For this purpose, models that can predict the risk of injuries and assess the occupant protection offered by different restraint systems are needed. LÄS MER
4. Effects of Seat and Seat-Belt Design on Car Occupant Response in Frontal and Rear Impacts A Study Combining Mechanical and Mathematical Modelling
Sammanfattning : The objective of the present work is to determine the potential injury-reducing benefits to car occupants in accidents of seat and seat-belt design. The main problems addressed are the risk of injury to head, neck, and upper torso in frontal impacts, and the risk of minor neck-injuries - whiplash-injuries - in rear-end collisions. LÄS MER
5. Semantic analysis of irrelevant speech in dementia
Sammanfattning : This thesis demanded for studies within an interface between semantics, interaction and neuropsychology. The topic for the thesis was irrelevant discourse caused by dementia and foremost so called confabulation. LÄS MER
