   Sammanfattning : This dissertation investigates translation strategies and translation principles in technical translation. Five translation students and 5 professional translators from German-speaking Switzerland and 4 translation students and 6 professional translators from Sweden were asked to think aloud while translating a user guide from French into German and from French into Swedish, respectively.    Sammanfattning : Verlan, the linguistic phenomenon which consists of inverting syllables in the same word, emerged in the 1970s in the outskirts of Paris. It was initially regarded as part of the sociolect Urban French Vernacular and associated with youth language as well as with the suburban estates. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : This dissertation consists of nine essays (numbered I-IX) which treat French loan-words in Swedish dialects from different aspects. I. To estimate the proportion of French loan-words in Swedish dialects, words beginning with b were counted in the collections of the Swedish dialect dictionary and found to be 2 % of the total b-material.
