  2. 2. Employees with Aided Hearing Impairment : An Interdisciplinary Perspective

    Författare :Håkan Hua; Björn Lyxell; Claes Möller; Stephen Widén; Gunnel Backenroth; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Hearing impairment; cognitive skills; noise; labor market; Hörselnedsättning; kognitiva förmågor; buller; arbetsmarknad;

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden 13% of the general adult population (16-84 years), with or without hearing aids (HAs), report that they have difficulties following a conversation when more than two people are involved. This means that more than one million people in Sweden (9 500 000 inhabitants in total) report subjective hearing difficulties. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Low Noise Oscillator in ADPLL toward Direct-to-RF All-digital Polar Transmitter

    Författare :Jian Chen; Li-Rong Zheng; Fredrik Jonsson; Hannu Tenhunen; Georges Gielen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; all-digital; digitally-intensive; frequency modualtion; phase modulation; amplitude modulation; polar; transmitter; oscillator; digital controled oscillator; DCO; VCO; voltage controled oscillator; class-C oscillator; class-D PA; ADPLL; phase noise; RF; CMOS.;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years all-digital or digitally-intensive RF transmitters (TX) have attracted great attention in both literature and industry. The motivation is to implement RF circuits in a manner suiting advanced nanometer CMOS processes. To achieve that, information is encoded in the time-domain rather than voltage amplitude. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Mid- and near-infrared NICE-OHMS : techniques for ultra-sensitive detection of molecules in gas phase

    Författare :Thomas Hausmaninger; Ove Axner; Kyle Crabtree; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; spectrometry; NICE-OHMS; trace gas detection; acetylene; methane; isotopologues; near-infrared; mid-infrared; shot-noise; optical parametric oscillator; teknisk fysik med inriktningen mikrosystemteknik; engineering science with specialization in microsystems technology;

    Sammanfattning : Noise-immune cavity-enhanced optical heterodyne molecular spectrometry (NICE-OHMS) is a technique for ultra-sensitive detection of molecular absorption and dispersion. For highest performance, the technique combines cavity enhancement (CE) with frequency modulation (FM); while the former increases the effective interaction length between the light and the analyte by several orders of magnitudes, the latter removes the in-coupling of 1/f noise and makes the signals background free. 5. 5. Fabrication and Characterization of magnetometer for space applications

    Författare :Fatjon Qejvanaj; Johan Åkerman; BRAD ENGEL; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; AMR; Magnetic sensor; Ferromagnetic; Antiferromagnetic; NiFe; IrMn; exchange bias.; Fysik; Physics; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Materials Science and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The present rapid increase in the number of space missions demands a decrease in the cost of satellite equipment, but also requires the development of instruments that have low power consumption, low weight, and small size.Anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) sensors can answer these needs on account of their small size, weight, and power consumption.
