  1. 1. Challenges with Driverless and Unattended Train Operations

    Författare :Emil Jansson; Oskar Fröidh; Nils O.E. Olsson; Ingrid Johansson; Carl-William Palmqvist; Olov Lindfeldt; Ronghui Liu; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Railway; Automatic train operation; Driverless trains; Train driver; Roles; Automation challenges; Human senses; Trackside sensors; Transportsystem; Transport Systems; Transportvetenskap; Transport Science;

    Sammanfattning : Demand for transportation continues to increase, for both freight and passenger services. One of the most energy-efficient modes of transportation is rail. One solution to increase the attractiveness of rail transport is to introduce automatic train operation (ATO) with a high grade of automation (GoA). LÄS MER

  2. 2. Electronic characterization of molecules with application to organic light emitting diodes

    Författare :Emil Jansson; Hans Ågren; Leif Eriksson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; OLED; DFT; Marcus theory; Response theory; Theoretical chemistry; Teoretisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The presented thesis is devoted to the field of organic light emittingdiodes (OLEDs). Time-dependent Kohn-Sham density functional theory(TDDFT) is applied in order to eludicate optical properties such as fluorescence andphosphorescence for some of the most important materials. 3. 3. Metabolic Disturbances in Relation to Serum Calcium and Primary Hyperparathyroidism

    Författare :Emil Hagström; Per Hellman; Ewa Lundgren; Jonas Rastad; Svante Jansson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Surgery; Primary hyperparathyroidism; Parathyroidectomy; Insulin sensitivity; Lipoproteins; Glucose metabolism disorders; Bone density; Calcium; Kirurgi;

    Sammanfattning : Primary hyperparathyroidism (pHPT), characterized by elevated serum levels of calcium and parathyroid hormone (PTH), is associated with a number of metabolic derangements causing secondary manifestations. These include osteoporosis and increased risk of fractures, but also risk factors for cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. LÄS MER
