  1. 11. Digital Product Innovation : Building Generative Capability through Architectural Frames

    Författare :Fredrik Svahn; Ola Henfridsson; Jonny Holmström; Sandeep Purao; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; digital innovation; product innovation; generativity; modularity; patterns; architecture; architectural frames;

    Sammanfattning : Over the last decades we have witnessed a profound digitalization of tangible products. While this shift offers great opportunities, it also exposes product developing industries to significant challenges. LÄS MER

  2. 12. The effect of microstructural features, defects and surface quality on the fatigue performance in Al-Si-Mg Cast alloys

    Författare :Toni Bogdanoff; Ehsan Ghassemali; Salem Seifeddine; Anders E.W. Jarfors; Ru Peng; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Aluminum-Silicon alloys; defects; material characterization; fatigue performance; digital image correlation;

    Sammanfattning : Global warming is driving industry to manufacture lighter components to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Promising candidates for achieving this are aluminium-silicon (Al-Si) cast alloys, which offer a high weight-to-strength ratio, excellent corrosion resistance, and good castability. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Makers, Materials and Machines : Understanding Experience and Situated Embodied Practice in the Makerspace

    Författare :Sophie Landwehr Sydow; Jakob Tholander; Martin Jonsson; Maria Normark; Alexandra Weilenmann; Södertörns högskola; []

    Sammanfattning : The reduction of fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions are currently a key factor for the aviation industry because of major concerns about climate change and more restrictive environmental laws. One way to reduce both fuel consumption and CO2 emissions is by significantly decreasing the weight of vehicles while increasing the efficiency of the engine. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Benefits of Digital Technical Information

    Författare :Karin Ahlin; Erik A. M. Borglund; Lena-Maria Öberg; Tero Päivärinta; Pasi Tyrväinen; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; digital technical information; benefit; intangible benefit; interpretative research; manufacturing organization; digital teknikinformation; nytta; omätbara nyttor; tolkande forskning; tillverkande organisation;

    Sammanfattning : In our daily work life, we use a wealth of information, including a category of information produced as a part of products and their life-cycle phases, named digital technical information (DTI). Manufacturing organizations focus more often on the product than on DTI, because DTI’s impact seems almost invisible, despite its crucial role to the product and its life-cycle phases, development, production, maintenance, and destruction.
