1. Laser-Based Investigations of Combustion Phenomena in Gas Turbine Related Burners
Sammanfattning : Experiments were performed on various combustion devices to investigate the flames employing different optical measurement techniques under atmospheric pressure conditions. Non-intrusive laser-based techniques provided in-situ information concerning different parameters of the combustion process, with a high degree of temporal and spatial resolution. LÄS MER
2. Application of Laser-based Diagnostics to a Prototype Gas Turbine Burner at Selected Pressures
Sammanfattning : The matured laser-diagnostic techniques of planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) and particle image velocimetry (PIV) were applied to a prototype gas turbine burner operating on various fuels. The work was performed to provide verification of computational fluid dynamic (CFD) models of the combustion of atypical fuels in a gas turbine combustor. LÄS MER
3. Development of LPP-Burner for Industrial Gas Turbine Application
Sammanfattning : This thesis reports the work done in the development of a modified Lean Premix Prevaporised (LPP) burner for the use in Alstom Power Sweden’s industrial gas turbines. Incentive for the development of the modified burner have been the need to increase the flame stability over the operating range for the burner, especially for the liquid fuel but also the gaseous fuel operation. 4. Úhelníky s prolisem ve spojích dřevěných prvků
Sammanfattning : The thesis deals with appropriate methods to determinate load-bearing capacities of timber structures joints using angle brackets with a rib. In these joints, annular ring nails were used as connectors.During an experimental approach, full-scale load tests of whole joints were performed. LÄS MER
5. Fabrication and Characterization of ZnO Nanorods Based Intrinsic White Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs)
Sammanfattning : ZnO material based hetero-junctions are a potential candidate for the design andrealization of intrinsic white light emitting devices (WLEDs) due to several advantages overthe nitride based material system. During the last few years the lack of a reliable andreproducible p-type doping in ZnO material with sufficiently high conductivity and carrierconcentration has initiated an alternative approach to grow n-ZnO nanorods (NRs) on other ptypeinorganic and organic substrates.
