  1. 1. Future Technology Support of Command and Control : Assessing the impact of assumed future technologies on cooperative command and control

    Författare :Mats Persson; Else Nygren; Tim Grant; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; command; control; cooperative; collaboration; decision-making; effectiveness; human-computer interaction; microworld; network-centric; military; team; beslutsfattande; effektivitet; ledning; mikrovärld; militär; människa-datorinteraktion; nätverkscentrerad; samarbete; team; Datavetenskap med inriktning mot människa-datorinteraktion; Computer Science with specialization in Human-Computer Interaction;

    Sammanfattning : In response to technological advances, especially in the field of information and communication technology (ICT), the so called revolution in military affairs (RMA) and later the concept of network-centric warfare (NCW) emerged as a theory to further utilize technology for military command and control (C2). Advocates of the Swedish ROLF 2010-vision and the concept of NCW have made claims and assumptions that future technology will improve mission effectiveness by, for example, increasing the understanding of a current situation and its development, the speed of command, and providing means to utilize more efficient forms of organizations. 2. 2. Interacting with command and control systems : Tools for operators and designers

    Författare :Pär-Anders Albinsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Geographical information systems; Military operations; Command and control research; Command and control systems; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Command and control is central in all distributed tactical operations such as rescue operations and military operations. It takes place in a complex system of humans and artefacts, striving to reach common goals. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Fighter Aircraft Maneuver Limiting Using MPC : Theory and Application

    Författare :Daniel Simon; Johan Löfberg; Torkel Glad; Jan Maciejowski; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Model predictive control; flight control;

    Sammanfattning : Flight control design for modern fighter aircraft is a challenging task. Aircraft are dynamical systems, which naturally contain a variety of constraints and nonlinearities such as, e.g., maximum permissible load factor, angle of attack and control surface deflections. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Bringing power and knowledge together : information systems design for autonomy and control in command work

    Författare :Per-Arne Persson; Sture Hägglund; Henrik Eriksson; James M. Nyce; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ethnographic; army command organizations; military; rationality of practice; design work; autonomy; events-frictions-and power; viable system; freedom of action; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : THIS THESIS PRESENTS an empirical ethnographic study that has been conducted as fieldwork within army command organizations, leading to a qualitative analysis of data. The title of the thesis captures the contents of both command work and research, both domains being affected by new technologies during a period of drastic changes in the military institution. 5. 5. Compensating for Unreliable Communication Links in Networked Control Systems

    Författare :Erik Henriksson; Karl Henrik Johansson; Henrik Sandberg; Bruno Sinopoli; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; networked control; packet loss compensation; unreliable communication; control over wirless networks; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Control systems utilizing wireless sensor and actuator networks can be severely affectedby the properties of the communication links. Radio fading and interferencemay cause communication losses and outages in situations when the radio environmentis noisy and low transmission power is desirable. LÄS MER
