    Sammanfattning : This work investigates the influence of alkali salts on the oxidation of304-type (Fe18Cr10Ni) austenitic stainless steel in laboratory and fieldexposures. Deposition of insolublespecies from the electrolyte and corrosion products from thebase metal accumulate and form surface layers that influencethe cathode activity with regards to hydrogen evolution, theprimary reaction, as well as to various parasitic reactions.     Sammanfattning : The corrosive environment in biomass- and waste-fired boilers has been known for several years. The traditionally used FeCr and FeNiCr steels show limited performance in the aggressive environment that contains more H2O and alkali salts than traditional fuel. LÄS MER
