    Sammanfattning : During the second half of the 20th century education has been recognized as a human right in several international conventions, and the UN also holds that “Education shall be free” and that “Elementary education shall be compulsory” (UN, 1948, Article 26).The education-as-a-human right-project could be viewed as a good intention of global inclusion in recognizing that all individuals have a right to education in virtue of being humans, and the idea of education as a human right thus has a tremendous global significance.     Sammanfattning : Essay 1 analyzes how student achievement is affected by resource increases in the Swedish compulsory school, due to a special government grant. The analysis is based on register data between 1998 and 2005. The study shows that the increased resources have not had a statistically significant positive effect on the average student’s achievement. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis reports on a study, which investigated the process of early foreign language learning in a classroom context and the functions of multi-word units of language known as formulaic sequences in the oral language production of young foreign language learners. A classroom with 11 students in the age range 9 to 11 years was observed and video recorded for 16 sessions (90 minutes per session). LÄS MER
