1. Characterisation and application of photon counting X-ray detector systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns the development and characterisation of X-ray imaging systems based on single photon processing. “Colour” X-ray imaging opens up new perspectives within the fields of medical X-ray diagnosis and also in industrial X-ray quality control. LÄS MER
2. Photon Counting X-ray Detector Systems
Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis concerns the development and characterisation of X-ray imaging detector systems. “Colour” X-ray imaging opens up new perspectives within the fields of medical X-ray diagnosis and also in industrial X-ray quality control. LÄS MER
3. A Segmented Silicon Strip Detector for Photon-Counting Spectral Computed Tomography
Sammanfattning : Spectral computed tomography with energy-resolving detectors has a potential to improve the detectability of images and correspondingly reduce the radiation dose to patients by extracting and properly using the energy information in the broad x-ray spectrum. A silicon photon-counting detector has been developed for spectral CT and it has successfully solved the problem of high photon flux in clinical CT applications by adopting the segmented detector structure and operating the detector in edge-on geometry. 4. On Modeling and Optimal Control of Modular Batteries: Thermal and State-of-Charge Balancing
Sammanfattning : There has in recent years been an increasing interest in battery-powered electrified vehicles (xEVs) to reduce carbon footprint of transportation and the dependence on fossil fuels. Since the battery pack of xEVs is one of the most expensive but a key component in the powertrain, the battery lifetime is an important factor for the success of xEVs. LÄS MER
5. Organic electronic devices for solar energy conversion and storage
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on two types of organic electronic devices: organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices for solar energy conversion, and photo-capacitors for energy storage.OPVs have been under the focus of research for decades as an effective technique to convert solar energy to electricity.
