  1. 1. Exploring Biologically-Inspired Interactive Networks for Object Recognition

    Författare :Mohammad Saifullah; Arne Jönsson; Rita Kovordányi; Christian Balkenius; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Interactive neural networks; Biologically-Inspired models; Visual attention; Object recognition.; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with biologically-inspired interactive neural networks for the task of object recognition. Such networks offer an interesting alternative approach to traditional image processing techniques. Although the networks are very powerful classification tools, they are difficult to handle due to their bidirectional interactivity. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : During face-to-face meetings, humans use multimodal information, including verbal information, visual information, body language, facial expressions, and other non-verbal gestures. In contrast, during computer-mediated-communication (CMC), humans rely either on mono-modal information such as text-only, voice-only, or video-only or on bi-modal information by using audiovisual modalities such as video teleconferencing. 4. 4. Cooperative Context-Aware Setup and Performance of Surveillance Missions Using Static and Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks

    Författare :Edison Pignaton de Freitas; Tony Larsson; Carlos Eduardo Pereira; Franz Josef Rammig; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Surveillance systems; Wireless sensor network; Cooperative sensors; Mobile sensors; Biologically-inspired networking; Context awareness;

    Sammanfattning : Surveillance systems are usually employed to monitor wide areas in which their usersaim to detect and/or observe events or phenomena of their interest. The use ofwireless sensor networks in such systems is of particular interest as these networks can provide a relative low cost and robust solution to cover large areas. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Forward and Inverse Decision-Making in Adversarial, Cooperative, and Biologically-Inspired Dynamical Systems

    Författare :Inês de Miranda de Matos Lourenço; Bo Wahlberg; Karinne Ramirez-Amaro; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Decision-making is the mechanism of using available information to develop solutions to given problems by forming preferences, beliefs, or selecting courses of action amongst several alternatives. It is the main focus of a variety of scientific fields such as robotics, finances, and neuroscience. LÄS MER
