  1. 1. Bioanalytical separation using capillary electrophoresis : Applications with microbubbles and proteins

    Författare :Leila Josefsson; Åsa Emmer; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Background electrolyte; capillary electrophoresis; contrast agents; electroosmotic flow; ethylammonium nitrate; ionic liquids; microbubbles; particles; polyvinyl alcohol microbubbles; and separation; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis the possibilities of using capillary electrophoresis as a separation technique for analysis of proteins and microbubbles is presented.A complete analytical process consists of five necessary steps of which one is the actual analysis step. For this step a suitable analytical technique is needed. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Measurement and control of oxygen fugacity by means of gaseous oxygen buffers

    Författare :Sven Berglund; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Fundamental and practical aspects of oxygen buffering are reviewed, with particular reference to the gaseous oxygen buffer as a tool in elevated temperature oxide chemistry. An oxygen buffer capacity concept and a classification scheme for oxygen buffers are proposed; their application is demonstrated. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Chiral Separation of Amines by Non-Aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis using Low Molecular Weight Selectors

    Författare :Ylva Hedeland; Curt Pettersson; Ulf Bondesson; Lars Blomberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Chiral Separation; Non-Aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis; Enantioresolution; Electro-osmotic Flow; Pharmaceuticals; Enantiomeric Amines; Low Molecular Weight Selector; Farmaceutisk kemi; Kemi med inriktning mot analytisk kemi; Chemistry with specialization in Analytical Chemistry; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Three chiral selectors (diketogulonic acid, benzoxycarbonylglycylproline and ketopinic acid) have been introduced for enantioseparation of pharmacologically active amines in non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis. The use of organic solvents, instead of aqueous buffers in the background electrolyte facilitated ion-pair formation between the analytes and the chiral selectors. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Capillary zone electrophoresis for the analysis of low molecular weight organic acids in environmental systems

    Författare :Jessika Hagberg; Bert Allard; Stefan Karlsson; Anders Düker; Patrick van Hees; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; capillary zone electrophoresis; capillary zone electrophoresis-electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry; low molecular weight organic acids; pKa; Chemistry; Kemi; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Capillary zone electrophoretic (CZE) methods were developed to identify and quantify low molecular weight (LMW) organic acids in environmental samples. Sensitivity and selectivity were optimised by adapting the background electrolyte to the characteristics of analytes, and by using different modes of detection and injection. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Building Sustainable Batteries : Organic electrodes based on Li- and Na-benzenediacrylate

    Författare :Alina Oltean; Daniel Brandell; Leif Nyholm; Steven Renault; Martin Sjödin; Robert Dominko; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Organic Electrode Materials; Li-ion Batteries; Na-ion Batteries; Calendaring; Recycling Process; Kemi med inriktning mot materialkemi; Chemistry with specialization in Materials Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : As possible alternatives to the conventional inorganic Li- or Na-ion battery electrode materials, organic compounds have recently drawn considerable attention. However, major challenges such as poor electronic conductivity, solubility in battery electrolyte or fast capacity decay of the resulting electrochemical cells are some of the reasons that hold these compounds back from becoming commercial solutions in the energy system.
