    Sammanfattning : This study provides the first grammatical description of a sedentary type of Arabic from Akkar (محافظة عكار), the northernmost governorate of Lebanon. It deals with the Arabic dialect spoken in Šɛ̄xṭɔ̄ba/Shaykh Taba (الشيخ طابا) and covers the main features of its phonology (with focus on pausal phenomena) and morphology, as well as selected semantic fields within the lexicon.     Sammanfattning : This study explores the theme of nostalgia in contemporary Anglo-Arab literature from the 1990s to the present. Examining the implications of nostalgic tropes in Anglophone novels by Arab writers, the study makes the case that nostalgia is a key strategy used by these writers in their critical engagement with national historiographies and diasporic identities.     Sammanfattning : The present study provides a description of the standardization process of Persian orthography since the introduction of the Arabic alphabet, with a focus on this process in modern times (1850-2000). Using theories related to orthography standardization as its background, this work seeks an explanation for the prolonged standardization process of Persian orthography, and presents the frameworks within which this standardization has been carried out.
