  1. 1. Atrial fibrillation in cardiac surgery

    Författare :Anders Ahlsson; Anders Englund; Johan Brandt; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Atrial fibrillation; Inflammation; CABG surgery; Survival analysis; Follow-up studies; Ablation; Microwave; Transmurality; Atrial function; Tissue velocity echocardiography; Thoracic surgery; Thoraxkirurgi; Kirurgi; särskilt thoraxkirurgi; Surgery esp. Thoracic and Cardivascular Surgery;

    Sammanfattning : Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia seen in clinical practice. In cardiac surgery, one-third of the patients experience episodes of AF during the first postoperative days (postoperative AF), and patients with preoperative AF (concomitant AF) can be offered ablation procedures in conjunction with surgery, in order to restore ordinary sinus rhythm (SR). 2. 2. Atrial fibrillation : endoscopic ablation and postoperative studies

    Författare :Espen Fengsrud; Anders Ahlsson; Anders Englund; Alexander Wahba; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Atrial fibrillation; Bypass surgery; Cerebral ischemia; Follow-up studies; Survival; Anticoagulation; Ablation; Endoscopy; Randomized trial; Implantable loop recorder;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is associated with an increased risk of stroke, heart failure and cardiovascular death. Initial treatment focuses on rhythm or rate control and anticoagulation after risk assessment. Catheter abla-tion (CA) is an option in highly symptomatic patients but is less effective in long-standing persistent AF(LSPAF). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Physiotherapy and physical activity in patients undergoing cardiac or lung cancer surgery

    Författare :Marcus Jonsson; Elisabeth Westerdahl; Anita Hurtig-Wennlöf; Anders Ahlsson; Maria Hagströmer; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Physiotherapy; Physical Activity; Cardiac surgery; Lung Cancer; Randomized Controlled Trial; Thoracic surgery; Physical Function; Lung Function;

    Sammanfattning : Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide. Cardiac surgery is performed to improve prognosis, relieve symptoms and increase functional capacity in patients with cardiac disease. Postoperative pulmonary complications are common after cardiac surgery and a reduced lung function can persist a long time after surgery. LÄS MER
