  1. 1. The Alnö alkaline and carbonatitic complex, east central Sweden - a petrogenetic study

    Författare :Jaana Hode Vuorinen; Alasdair Skelton; Ulf Hålenius; Stefan Claesson; Ian Parsons; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; carbonatite; alkaline; Alnö; geochemistry; isotope; Earth sciences; Geovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The Alnö complex on the central Swedish east coast is composed of a main composite intrusion (the main intrusion) and four smaller satellite intrusions (Söråker, Sälskär, Långharsholmen and Båräng) distributed around the main intrusion on Alnö Island and on the mainland north of the island. The major rock types exposed within the complex are melilitolite, pyroxenite, ijolite series (melteigite-ijolite-urtite), nepheline syenite, carbonatite and alnöite dykes. LÄS MER

  2. 2. A new synthetic strategy for low-dimensional compounds : Lone pair cations and alkaline earth spacers

    Författare :Rie Takagi Fredrickson; Mats Johnsson; Sven Lidin; Lars Kloo; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Alkaline earth; Lone pair elements; Low-dimensional compounds; Inorganic chemistry; Oorganisk kemi; oorganisk kemi; Inorganic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Complex transition metals oxyhalides containing a lone pair element, such as tellurium (IV), form an attractive research field because there is a high probability of finding new low-dimensionally arranged compounds and, particularly, a low-dimensionally arranged transition metals substructures, leading to interesting physical properties. Tellurium (IV) can drive the formation of many unusual structures because of its stereochemically active lone pair electrons, E. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Agpaitic Rocks of the Norra Kärr Alkaline Complex: Chemistry, Origin, and Age of Eudialyte-hosted Zirconium and Rare-earth Element Ore

    Författare :Axel S.L. Sjöqvist; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Norra Kärr alkaline complex; agpaitic rocks; eudialyte; rare-earth elements; geochronology; radiogenic isotope geochemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Agpaites are peralkaline nepheline syenites that are denominated by rock-forming complex silicate minerals such as eudialyte. The exotic mineralogy and chemistry of these rocks are not only interesting for research, but globally these rocks also have potential as polymetallic resources of elements such as zirconium, niobium, rare-earth elements, zinc, and uranium. 4. 4. Protein isolation from herring (Clupea harengus) using the pH-shift process - Protein yield, protein isolate quality and removal of food contaminants

    Författare :Sofia Marmon; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; precipitation; acid; gelation; in vitro digestion; solubilization; herring; protein; salt solubility; pH; lipids; alkaline; transmission electron microscopy; dioxins;

    Sammanfattning : Herring (Clupea harengus) contain valuable proteins but is difficult to process into high-quality foods due to its small size and high content of bones, heme-proteins and lipids. Herring is among the most abundant fish species in the world, but is currently utilized largely for fish meal and oil production. LÄS MER

  5. 5. 3D Structure and Emplacement of the Alnö Alkaline and Carbonatite Complex, Sweden : Integrated Geophysical and Physical Property Investigations

    Författare :Magnus Andersson; Alireza Malehmir; Valentin R. Troll; Bjarne Almqvist; Odleiv Olesen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Alnö; carbonatite; caldera; reflection seismic; anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility; gravity; magnetic; Geophysics with specialization in Solid Earth Physics; Geofysik med inriktning mot fasta jordens fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Carbonatites are carbonate-rich magmatic rocks that are rare and of great relevance for our understanding of crustal and mantle processes. Although found on all continents and in settings ranging from Archaean to present-day, their deeper plumbing system is still poorly understood. LÄS MER
