11. Analysis of Seismic Data Acquired at the Forsmark Site for Storage of Spent Nuclear Fuel, Central Sweden
Sammanfattning : The Forsmark area, the main study area in this thesis, is located about 140 km north of Stockholm, central Sweden. It belongs to the Paleoproterozoic Svecokarelian orogen and contains several major ductile and brittle deformation zones including the Forsmark, Eckarfjärden and Singö zones. LÄS MER
12. Spatial mapping of bacteria and transcriptomes
Sammanfattning : Novel insights into biological functions and mechanisms, cell networks and evolutionary relationships are gained through development of sequencing technologies and sequencing based applications. Massively parallel sequencing has enabled analysis of big data at gene and protein expression levels, but has also characterized bacterial communities. LÄS MER
13. Specific T- and B-cell responses against human cytomegalovirus after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation
Sammanfattning : Human cytomegalovirus (CMV) remains an important complication in allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). CMV-reactivation may lead to CMV-disease associated with high morbidity and mortality in patients after HSCT. LÄS MER
14. Preliminary Design Investigations for the Selection of Optimum Reaction Degree for 1st Stage of a High Pressure Gas Turbine
Sammanfattning : One-dimensional (1D) turbine design calculation phase requires a handful of input data and choice of design parameters to provide the blade flow path geometry along with the flow kinematics and thermodynamics properties at the blade mid-span. The choice of important aerodynamics design parameters namely reaction degree, nozzle guide vane NGV exit flow angle or flow coefficient and stage loading defines the mid-span flow velocity triangles. 15. Position-matching and goal-directed reaching acuity of the upper limb in chronic neck pain : associations to self-rated characteristics
Sammanfattning : Neck-shoulder pain is common in the general population and causes individual suffering as well as large costs for the society. Despite substantial efforts, there is still a shortage of methods for objective diagnosis and effective rehabilitation of such disorders. Thus, there is a great need to develop and evaluate new methods for these purposes. LÄS MER
