    Sammanfattning : The issue of port security raised concerns at the highest levels after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 against the United States. Security threats against ports and vessels acquired a new perspective and in 2002 the International Maritime Organization (IMO) adopted amendments to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), 1974, introducing Chapter XI-2 - Special measures to enhance maritime security.     Sammanfattning : The effect of different food types, polymer qualities and microwaves on the overall and specific migration during microwave heating of plastic packaging was investigated to better understand the packaging-food interactions and the effect of microwaves on food packaging.     Sammanfattning : The loss and recovery of the surface hydrophobicity areimportant phenomena when highvoltage insulators, with a shedmaterial composed of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), are used. Theloss of hydrophobicity is mostly due to the oxidativecrosslinking which takes place on the PDMS surface duringexposure to electrical discharges, e. g. corona discharges. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Microwave heating of food has increased rapidly as a food processing technique. This increases the concern that chemicals could migrate from food packaging to food.     Sammanfattning : It is known that one and the same interior colouring will appear different in rooms with windows facing north or facing south, but it is not known how natural daylight from these two compass points affects perceived colour and the ways in which colour is experienced. The objective is to describe the perceived colours to be expected in rooms with sunlight and diffused light, and thus develop a tool for colour design. LÄS MER
